Low Vision research, workshop, training video and NCOTA presentation (2017-2018)

During my initial fieldwork in occupational therapy school, I had the honor of being mentored by an OT who specialized in low vision and community settings. This experience included a collaborative project with our local museum and provided me with a chance to learn directly from the docents at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM). The attached files highlight the research conducted, along with various projects and presentations delivered locally and to our state association. My favorite resource included here is a training video created specifically for us by the docents at SAAM. If you or someone you know is experiencing blindness or has been impacted by low vision, you will find numerous helpful resources in these materials.
